The wine has fresh and lifted varietal aromas of cassis, red currant fruit and mint. Subtle hints of cedar and tobacco add to the complexity of the aroma which is something like a brandy soaked Christmas pudding. This is a wine with rich, ample flavours of ripe cassis, berry fruit and licorice. Maturation in French oak barrels is evident with subtle flavours of cedar and tobacco adding complexity to a wine that is rich and mouth filling with great length.
